Did you ever wonder where all those special celebration days of the year come from? Who decides we are going to have a Cephalopod Awareness Day (Octopus Day!) or a World Wetlands Day? We have compiled this list of "officially designated" special days from many different sources so that you can see all these days on one calendar. Links to the sources are shown and often interesting to explore. Our hope is that parents and teachers can use this calendar as a planning tool and make these special days fun "excuses" to learn.
