2. Public Library Site Licensing

Here is our pricing model which is based on county population and intended for use through a county-wide library system. Site License access would be unlimited and available on computers in each county library building and on a library system's website. If on a website, it needs to be in a password protected section.

We are struggling a bit with how best to sell our eBooks to Public Libraries. Our eBooks are orders of magnitude higher in quality and features than plain pdfs and existing library models that we have seen. Our books are available in flat pdf format through Overdrive and Mobipocket but these formats do not do justice to the colors and additional language and audio features that we offer. Our eBooks use flash technology with embedded audio so that in Auto-Flip Mode, pages flip themselves and read-aloud is locked to page. In manual mode, a separate MP3 player appears allowing children to play and hear a continuous reading not locked to page and they have to manually flip the pages to keep up (or pause the audio). And, with a single click in either mode, the language text and audio change instantly. All these features plus vibrant color display and 3D page curling make for a very large folder with over 70 individual files!

Bottomline here is that we can't easily download files to you for inclusion in an overdrive like program and broadband access to our server is required. We do not have the technology in place to dole out individual titles for set times so our program is wide open for unlimited usage of all titles to those with access. The only control we need is that the access be through a login process to ensure that only your library members are accessing.

If you prefer to set-up your access for one eBook at a time, we have a url generator on the website that will create individual access codes for each title so that these links can then be embedded in an online card catalog system. When clicked, these links will activate just the one eBook.
